All Shifts – Entry Level Production

 

Lapeer Plating & Plastics, Inc., The Premier Manufacturer of Class A, High-Visibility Automotive Components, is seeking highly motivated, team players, possessing a continuous improvement mindset, to join our team as Production and Machine Operators.

 

Production Team Members are responsible for the day to day, manufacturing, inspection, and packing of plastic, and chrome plated components.

 

Employees at this level may operate Injection Molding Presses, Simple Machines, load and unload components, pack or unpack parts and components, inspect and hand trim components, as well as keep an hourly check list of scrap and defects.

 

Job Description

 

This Position may require any or all the duties listed below.

 

  • Inspection of chrome plated and plastic automotive components for defects.
  • Racking or Un-racking of components onto or off Plating Racks
  • Clipping or trimming of excess plastic or chrome plated plastic.
  • Assembly of chrome pieces and lenses
  • Operation of simple machinery
  • Operation of Injection Molding Presses
  • Packing of parts into boxes and containers
  • Assembly of small clips and adhesive backings
  • Lifting of up to 60 lbs.
  • Recording and reporting of scrap and production numbers

Production Shift Schedules

 

MOLDING (MLD) and ASSEMBLY (ASM) – 40 Hours per week*

 

1st shift:       6:00 am – 2:00 pm (Mon-Fri, Sat. as needed)   

 

2nd shift:      2:00 pm – 10:00pm (Mon-Fri, Sat. as needed)  

 

3rd shift:      10:00 pm – 6:00 am (Mon-Fri, Sat. as needed)  

 

PLATING DEPT (PLT) – 10 Hours Shifts – 4 Days per week*

 

1st shift:         3:30am – 1:30pm (Mon- Thurs, Fri/Sat as needed)

 

2nd shift:       1:30pm – 11:30pm (Mon- Thurs, Fri/Sat as needed)        

 

 

*Some overtime hours MAY be required.

Overtime pay may apply, see your supervisor for details.

 

Compensation:

 

1st Shift: $13.50 –   2nd Shift: $14.25 – 3rd Shift: $14.00

 

Plating Department:

1st Shift – $14.00 – 2nd Shift 14.75

 

 

Requirements

 

No Experience Necessary – We Will Train You!

 

  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • Must adhere to all safe work procedures.
  • All positions require constant movement, continuous standing, excellent attention to detail and basic math skills.
  • Must Have Reliable Transportation
  • Must be able to report to work without any absences for the 60-day probationary period.
